The 80's Are Back! Watch Out Here They Come!

Sometimes, a movie comes along that once you've seen the trailer, you have no choice but to see that movie.

For me, there are four words that come to mind. Hot Tub Time Machine.

Just the title alone is enough to make even the most serious film fan cringe in terror, but for me, this is going to be a guilty pleasure gone wild. The premise? Four friends on a weekend getaway get sent back to 1986, thanks to a hot tub time machine. Sound silly enough?

I will admit, this just sounds ridiculous. But I dare you to watch the trailer, and not get intrigued or better yet excited to see this film. Not since The Wedding Singer, has there been a movie involving the 1980's and the culture, that will send audiences talking.

The movie stars 80's icon, John Cusack (2012, Grosse Point Blank), in addition to Rob Corddry (The Daily Show), Craig Robinson (Pineapple Express) and Clark Duke (Sex Drive).

Of course, with any film that looks back at a time in our pasts, we have to observe some of the ridiculous fads and fashions of that period, and if the trailer is any indication, there's going to be a lot of that going on. From the guy at the snack bar, sporting a Miami Vice t-shirt, to the brightly coloured ski-bunnies, Hot Tub Time Machine is going to be one of those movies, like the Hangover before it, where a movie can be made, with a reasonably sized budget, do well in theaters, and develop a following. Either that, or by its March 28 release date Avatar will still be selling out in theatres, and no one will even notice it.

But I myself will definitely be in line to see this one, I can't wait!
