Workplace Politics

So you go to work everyday, you do your job and do your best to do it right, you take your pittance every two weeks, you're given a guilt trip everytime you need to leave early or take a day off, like you're a machine, a number.... and then you find that you've won the lottery for scrutiny. They watch you, they wait, they try to catch you, and then they sink their claws in for something work related.

In a perfect world you go to work, you do your job, sure you may still get a pittance of a pay, but somewhere in there, you're told that you're doing a good job, and hey, THANKS! You're appreciated!

In reality your number should be tattooed on your forehead, they should put shackles on your ankles and treat you like a prisoner.

When the powers that be decide that you're on thier radar, they don't care about anything other than lynching you, they don't care that they make it hell for you to come to work, they don't care that you'd rather have a crow pluck out your eyeballs slowly while conscious than go to work everyday.

Someone tonight mentioned to me that there is respect in their work place, i had to stop for a moment and wonder if possibly she was high, delusional, or possibly from another panet.

Is it too much to ask for respect? Or to think for a moment that you deserve respect in the work place, that maybe just maybe they might take yourside of the story into consideration when both parties involved have the exact same story.... but they don't care... remember you're on the radar, and all they hear is Charlie Brown's teacher "Wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-waaaaah" They draw their own conclusions....

And what can you do? When the powers that be cannot seem to think for themselves its a force like the Borg, collective thought put together and one person directs what they personally want done. The truth doesn't always set you free it seems.
