News: "LOST", but making good time.

For those of you who are fans of "Lost" (Of which, sadly I am not one) it appears that a kick-off date for the sixth (and final) season has been rumored.

According to our friends over at tvovermind.com the final season of Lost is slated to begin on January 20th. However, this is the second rumored date, as it had been previously mentioned that the 27th of January was to be the date. The 20th, seems to be the date most likely, as it appears that ABC (The Network) has issued a run-order report on one of their press websites with the 20th listed. It appears that the network is trying to pair Lost with their newest hit: Flashforward to give it a 1-2 punch.

However, no one at the network has confirmed this date as of yet.

It has also been rumored that ABC will not air Lost during the Olympics, which is strange, since Lost has traditionally won its time slot, even during the olympics, but that may be because the show has "lost" a bit of the steam that it once had.

Interesting side note: With Lost moving to Wednesdays, it appears that it's going to be competing directly with Hockey on NBC. In addition: add the fact that NBC (official network of the Olympic games) is going to throw as much as they can into the games to make them a ratings juggernaut, there may be good reason to pause the show during the games.

Now the "hiatus" would be nothing new to fans, as ABC has interrupted the show numerous times, and ABC, I am sure is not too concerned, as everyone knows the "Die-hards" will watch it, regardless.
